* From early this morning to early Friday morning.

* At 5:15 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 18.1 feet.

* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:15 AM CDT Wednesday was 18.1 feet.

* Forecast...The river will rise to 18.6 feet this afternoon and then gradually fall below flood stage by tomorrow evening.

* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Flooding of McFarland Park begins.

* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.5 feet on 10/17/1975. &&

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Alabama... Paint Rock River NEAR Woodville affecting Madison, Jackson and Marshall Counties. ...The Flood Warning remains in effect... The Flood Warning continues for the Paint Rock River NEAR Woodville.

* Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* At 5:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 18.6 feet.

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 19.9 feet.

* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling to 7.9 feet Sunday evening.

* Impact...At 19.0 feet, Water is covering Alabama State Route 65 about two miles north of U.S. Highway 72. Several County Roads in Paint Rock Valley are flooded...including Jackson County Road 20.

* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.6 feet on 12/04/1983. &&
