Grace joins WAAY 31 as a reporter.
Grace’s love for meeting new people and learning about their lives led her to her position at WAAY TV. She says being a reporter allows her to do what she loves while making a difference.
She grew up near Baltimore, Maryland, but traveled south for her education. Grace studied news media at the University of Alabama. While in college, she interned at the campus TV station, WVUA 23 News in Tuscaloosa. She honed her skills during that time as weekend reporter.
Grace loves living in the Rocket City and during her time off looks for adventures across the Tennessee Valley.
'Our citizens are grateful to get the vaccine. They’re tired of COVID, too, they’re ready to get it over, and much like us, they see it as one of the processes we can use to get back to normal.'
'Being a woman or person of color, it feels like I am restricted to things I want to do, but she has just proved to everyone that you can do anything you want to.'
The Pathfinder Shuttle Exhibit at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center has restorations underway.
‘If it was any other time I'd probably be like ‘I’ll wait until I’m not pregnant,’ but no. It’s not worth the risk to me. I’m more worried about getting COVID than I am about getting a vaccine.’
'We’re in this with you and we’re going to keep going as long as necessary in order for those that need and want a vaccine, to have that vaccine,'
People in Phase 1B can make an appointment to get the COVID-19 vaccine with Huntsville Hospital.
'Yeah, the vaccine hasn’t been out very long, but we’ve been anticipating it for months, and just that there wasn’t a comprehensive plan in place is just mind-boggling,'
'If we’ve got a vaccine, we want to give it to somebody.'
Two men in Morgan County said they're glad to be one step closer to watching football with their friends, after receiving the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
'I think the biggest challenge still remains ensuring that we have enough providers to give the vaccine to persons who qualify.'
