Will Robinson-Smith is a reporter for WAAY.
Will’s journalism career began while in high school in Sacramento, CA. At the time, he loved all types of photography and decided to join his school's newspaper. Will started off his freshman year as a staff writer, eventually becoming the photo editor and later, co-editor-in-chief.
Will began to make the transition into television news in college. Northwestern University didn't offer a degree in photography, so he decided to try his hand at broadcasting. Throughout his four years, Will reported and anchored for the Northwestern News Network, while pursuing a degree in journalism.
During his time at school, Will also spent a quarter working for WLNS, the CBS affiliate in Lansing, MI and a summer interning with a local magazine in Buffalo, NY. After graduation, he began reporting for FOX10 News in Mobile, AL before coming to WAAY 31. Will enjoys working at WAAY 31 because he gets to work alongside wonderful colleagues all of whom are excited about delivering important stories that impact the community.
