UPDATE: Morgan County Commission Chairman Ray Long said starting Tuesday, officials will make face masks available to everyone that comes to the courthouse without one.

Alabama Department of Public Health Administrator for the Northern District Judy Smith said she is concerned about the Fourth of July holiday and an increase in cases.

“Folks, we are not doing good,” she said during Monday’s news conference.

Smith said we need to take charge, and people need to wear face masks. She also said a lot of people got sicker by putting off treatment not related to coronavirus during the pandemic.
