UPDATE: Crestwood Medical Center CEO Dr. Pam Hudson said there are 121 people hospitalized with coronavirus in Madison County. Of those, 40 are in ICUs. She said the number of inpatients is down from prior weeks.
Hudson said of the patients in ICUs, 60% are needing ventilators. She also said the number of tests and positive results are declining. She said Madison County’s positive test rate is below the state average.
Hudson also said the number of people quarantining is decreasing. She warned people to keep coronavirus in mind when making plans for Labor Day weekend.
She also reminded that the turnaround time for test results is longer right now.
Officials are holding a news conference about coronavirus Monday afternoon in Huntsville.
