Decatur firefighters extinguish vehicle fire on Interstate 65

Emergency crews extinguished a vehicle fire Thursday evening on Interstate 65, south of Interstate 565.

A spokesperson for Decatur Fire says Station 2 received a call about an SUV catching on fire while driving on Interstate 65. The fire was fully-involved when the firefighters arrived, and no one was injured.

State troopers are investigating. A WAAY 31 viewer shared video of the fire.
