UPDATE: Police say a Huntsville firetruck was damaged during the wreck.
They say a Mazda 3 was speeding before it hit the pole. The vehicle then flipped and caught on fire.
Police say the wreck broke the pole, causing traffic lights to fall into the intersection.
A Huntsville Fire and Rescue firetruck was driving east on University Drive at the time. Police say as the traffic lights fell into the intersection, they hit the front of the firetruck, causing the windshield to break.

Traffic is being redirected on University Drive and Pulaski Pike in Huntsville after a vehicle hit a utility pole.
The wreck happened around 12:15 a.m. Monday, and police say the road is still impacted as of 6:52 a.m.
Police are redirecting traffic around the pole.
Huntsville Emergency Medical Services says a male driver is in critical condition and was taken to Huntsville Hospital.
