The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued this news release on Monday afternoon:
On Monday, February 10, 2020, at the request of Albertville Police Department and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) are investigating an officer‐involved shooting involving Albertville Police Department and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
One person is deceased.
No officers were injured.
Nothing further is available as the investigation is ongoing.
Once complete, findings will be turned over to the Marshall County District Attorney’s Office.
UPDATE: The state says at the request of Albertville police and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the shooting in conjunction with those departments.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office responded Monday to a shooting involving officers at the Lazy Creek Trailer Park.
Albertville police, Boaz police, Douglas police and members of the State Bureau of Investigation are assisting.
Assistant Chief Deputy Steve Guthrie with the Marshall County Sheriff's Office said officers shot and killed a suspect after responding to a domestic-related call in Marshall County.
Boaz police responded to the call around midnight Monday morning. The suspect was gone when officers arrived. After receiving a tip, the suspect was located at a mobile home at Lazy Creek Trailer Park.
At this time, we do not know what agencies the officers involved in the shooting were from.
According to Marshall County Coroner Cody Nugent, the name of the person who was killed is not being released at this time. The body will be taken to the Department of Forensics in Huntsville for an autopsy.
