The Madison County Sheriff's Office said Trenton Logan, 27, was arrested after a robbery on Wednesday.

Deputies said Logan is accused of robbing a 63-year-old woman near Joe Quick and Jimmy Fisk Roads in Hazel Green.

The sheriff's office said the woman reported that when she returned home, an unknown white vehicle stopped across her driveway behind her and that the suspect exited his vehicle. She said he asked her, “Did you just come from Publix?” The woman said she found the question odd considering she didn't have bags in her hands or anything that would indicate that she'd just been at the store.

The victim said the suspect then ran up to her and grabbed her purse. She said she fought back unsuccessfully and that the suspect pushed her face down on the ground. Her husband then ran from the backyard, and she says the suspect fled in the white vehicle.

The woman was taken to Huntsville Hospital with non-life threatening injuries from the robbery. Investigators obtained footage of the incident from home security footage. Other investigators went to the last locations the victim was at before arriving home and were able to obtain images showing the suspect and vehicle.

The suspect's vehicle was located overnight at University Drive, and he was arrested during a traffic stop. During an interview, he admitted to this robbery and two more robberies in Huntsville. The vehicle he was driving was impounded.

The victim’s purse was found, and Logan was booked in the Madison County Jail for Robbery 3rd degree with a bond set at $15,000. He later received additional charges for Robbery 2nd degree and Robbery 3rd degree.
