The Phil Campbell High School baseball team has won the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A Championship!

They beat Bayside Academy 7-6 Friday morning in Montgomery. After being down 4-0 in the top of the first, the Bobcats' bats went to work! Austen Baker got things started with an RBI double. Baker would go on to score himself that inning off a wild pitch.

In the third, it was a 6-6 ball game. It stayed that way for two, until Mason Swinney drew a walk, and the winning run scored.

"Ever since I can remember it's been our dream to win a state championship, we knew we had the players to do it," Swinney said. "We felt good about this seaosn and got it done."

It's Phil Campbell's first baseball state championship.
