New principal named for Meridianville Middle School

A Montgomery principal is headed to north Alabama for a new job at Meridianville Middle School.

The Madison County Board of Education approved hiring Cameron Whitlow as the new principal of Meridianville Middle at its Thursday night meeting.

Whitlow is currently principal at Brewbaker Middle School in Montgomery. He also serves as a captain in the Alabama National Guard.

“Cameron brings passion, drive and determination to Meridianville," Madison County Schools Superintendent Matt Massey said in a news release. "He will be a great fit because he is known for his open door policy of leadership and he and believes success relies on motivation and collaboration."
