Mars Hill Bible had a tough day on the mound in game two of the AHSAA 2A State Baseball Championship. Seven pitchers combined for three balks, three hit basemen and 10 walks which G.W. Long took advantage of to win the game 11-4 and claim the state title.
"Their patience," Mars Hill coach Jay Mitchell told AL.com when asked what made G.W. Long's offense so powerful. "We weren't throwing strikes. We walked 10. That's something we don't normally do."
