Huntsville to reopen more recreational facilities

The city of Huntsville is reopening more facilities under Alabama’s updated Safer at Home order.

The city of Huntsville is reopening more parks and recreational facilities under the state’s updated Safer at Home order.

The new policy is effective starting May 26, allowing the following changes to happen:

  • Playgrounds, splash pads, and pavilions open
  • Aquatics facilities open on weekends
  • Team athletics practice/skills development allowed; competition allowed starting June 14
  • Weight rooms open June 8
