Update: Alabama State Troopers say the driver of a cement truck was travelling northbound on Hurricane Creek Road when they started to veer off the road, over-corrected and landed in the southbound ditch.
The driver was stuck for about two hours. They were taken out, loaded onto a stretcher and taken to the hospital. They are expected to be okay.
The sheriff's office is blocking off the road as troopers investigate. The truck is still in the ditch, and heavy machinery is being brought in to remove it.
Troopers are hoping to have the road open by rush hour, but it is unclear how long it will take. People are asked to avoid the area.
Huntsville Fire and Rescue's HAZMAT team is at the scene, and they believe 25 gallons of fuel spilled.
Emergency crews are at the scene of a wreck on Hurricane Creek Road near County Lake Road in Madison County.
The call for the wreck came in around 11:48 a.m. Wednesday, and Alabama State Troopers responded. All lanes are blocked in the area.
A driver has been loaded onto a stretcher and taken into an ambulance. A truck is currently in a ditch.
