Grammy Award Winning Chance the Rapper attended his first ever college graduation over the weekend.
He delivered the commencement speech at Dillard University in New Orleans.
The 25-year-old talked about artists who have inspired him and the responsibilities that they have to be greater than the people who came before them.
"In high school they didn't let me walk, and this is actually the first time I've been to a college graduation." Chance told students as they sat excited by his presence. "We have a responsibility to be not as good as them or live up to their example but to actually surpass them even when it seems scary. We have to overcome that fear and be greater than our role models."
Chance also left the stage with a new title.
Dillard University presented the wrapper with an honorary Doctorate Degree in Philanthropy.
