ABC announced it’s extending Good Morning America this fall.
The new one-hour program will air at noon central time replacing “The Chew” that was canceled earlier this year.
The show will be called “GMA Day” and will be hosted by Michael Strahan and Sarah Hines.
ABC’s Vice President John Rouse says quote “GMA Day” will extend the storied “Good Morning America” brand and audience with an innovative new talk variety show that will tap into the cultural conversation driven by two of daytime’s most appealing, relatable, and proven personalities, Michael Strahan and Sara Haines. They will share their unique points of view, personal experiences and passions, and delight the audience by creating an unscripted, entertaining, informative, surprising, fun, positive and interactive daily destination.”
The first two hours of GMA will continue to air at its normal time.
GMA Day will air its first show on Monday, September 10th.
